PRIME PRESTIGE, an Ivorian company specialized in the international trade of raw materials, starts its new export campaign of raw cashew nuts for the 2021 campaign.

Indeed, on Tuesday, February 09, 2021, the Cotton and Cashew Council (CCA) organized the launch of the marketing campaign of raw cashew nuts, for the year 2021. The minimum purchase price from producers is 305 CFA francs per kilogram. This is a decrease of 95 CFA francs compared to last year.

This decrease is understandable, due to the tensions in the world market for agricultural raw materials caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. A health crisis that will ultimately have had a limited negative impact on the 2020 draft, according to the CCA’s general management.

In addition, it was mentioned that despite the decrease in the purchase price at the field, the amount practiced in Côte d’Ivoire is higher than in Benin. As a result, PRIME PRESTIGE is preparing for the official opening date of the 2021 campaign, scheduled for March 11, with a price of 275 francs per kilogram. However, the other compulsory floor prices are 330 CFA francs at the level of stores in the interior of the country, and 389 CFA francs for delivery to port stores.
